While driving through the neighborhood, we witnessed something.
Though Constable Fred James Arnett (as seen to the left) was being paid (by you, the taxpayer), he was out campaigning instead.
On Tuesday, July 13th, 2010 at approximately 2pm, Fred Arnett was out putting up campaign signs.
Shouldn't he at least wait until business hours are over?!?
How do you like that? Paying the man to be Constable, he continues to collect pay from YOU and instead of performing the duties that he's required to, he is out campaigning for re-election.
I submit to you that Fred Arnett does NOT want to be your Constable. He merely wants you to continue paying him your hard-earned taxpayer dollars while he neglects his duties as your Constable.
In case you haven't already noticed, Arnett and Hamblen are campaigning together. Their signs are the exact same size, very similar wording/design and are tied together and using the same poles (in 95% of cases). Here's the problem with that: It is improper and juvenile. Judges are supposed to remain impartial and unbiased and are not supposed to support or endorse any candidate for office. Running together with a candidate implies, at the very least, the endorsement and support of each other. Because of this (and many other things, some shown in the next paragraph), these two cohorts in secret agreement are corrupt and it is up to you, the West Mesa Justice Precinct voters to end their reign of corruption. Vote for people that avoid even the appearance of impropriety.
Clayton Hamblen (candidate for Justice of the Peace) is not running again because he wants to be your Justice of the Peace any longer. He merely wants to beat Mark Anderson, get re-elected and then retire in 6 months. Then Fred Arnett hopes to get 'appointed' to the vacant Justice of the Peace position (just as he was appointed to Constable to begin with).
I ask you this: Do we REALLY want to elect two guys that only want to continue collecting a paycheck and don't really want to work the jobs that we elect them for?
That is why John Hastings (candidate for Constable and opponent to Fred Arnett) is unable to name the two Justices of the Peace that support John Hastings in his bid for office of Constable. So, while Fred Arnett lists his uncle "Jack Wright" as a "previous Constable that endorses him," John Hastings is endorsed by unrelated, honorable people that know better.
Mark Anderson has had over a decade of experience writing laws for this state and has remained unspotted in this election. Once again, VOTE AGAINST THE ARNETT AND HAMBLEN TEAM.
